Overview

Polar Pounce ("the App") is a card game developed for iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Data We Collect

Anonymous Analytics (TelemetryDeck)

We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service, to understand how the App is used. TelemetryDeck does not collect personal identifiers, IP addresses, or device IDs. All data is anonymized and aggregated. We track events such as:

  • App opens, game starts, and round completions
  • Game mode and player count (e.g., solo vs. online)
  • Tutorial progress
  • General device type and iOS version for compatibility

Apple Game Center

If you play online multiplayer, the App uses Apple Game Center for matchmaking and leaderboards. Your Game Center display name and avatar are visible to other players during matches. This data is managed by Apple under their own Privacy Policy.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App displays ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect certain device information and ad interaction data to serve relevant ads. This may include device identifiers, general location (country/region level), and ad engagement data. You can manage your ad preferences through your device's Settings > Privacy > Apple Advertising, or by opting out through Google's ad settings. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

Local Data

The App stores your preferences (such as selected card back, settings, and game progress) locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.

Data We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or other personal identification information
  • We do not track your precise location
  • We do not access your contacts, photos, or other device data
  • We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes

In-App Purchases

If you make in-app purchases (cosmetic items, virtual currency), all transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store any payment information such as credit card numbers. Apple's purchase policies apply.

Data Retention

Anonymous analytics data is retained by TelemetryDeck in aggregated form. Local preferences on your device persist until you delete the App. We do not maintain any personal data on our servers.

Children's Privacy

Polar Pounce is suitable for all ages (rated 4+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The analytics we use (TelemetryDeck) are fully anonymous and do not identify individual users of any age.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data, there is generally no personal information to access, modify, or delete. If you have concerns about any data associated with your use of the App, please contact us and we will assist you.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
